CORPORATEOne of the largest Vehicle Auction companies in the UK has been using Tone Images for over seven years to provide them with 16mm microfilm records of vehicle entry forms which detail vehicle description, vendor, purchaser and the selling price. These records must be kept for a minimum of six years to settle any dispute that may occur regarding title or ownership of the vehicles post sale. The Auction Centres were struggling to store six years worth of records and also the legal department at the companies head office needed frequent access to the records to quickly settle disputes. Following an initial consultation Tone Images suggested the collection of the entry forms direct from the various auction centres on a regular basis and the microfilming of the records onto 16mm microfilm cartridges. These cartridges are then delivered to the head office for use by legal staff and a copy retained at Tone Images for safe keeping and backup. This cost effective solution has worked well for over seven years and the incidence of records either lost or missing from the Auction Centres has fallen dramatically.
